What to Expect 

During a Reiki session, you can expect to lie down or sit comfortably while the practitioner places their hands on or near your body. You may feel a warm or tingling sensation as the energy is transferred. Many people report feeling deeply relaxed and peaceful during and after a Reiki session. Some also experience physical sensations such as pain relief or improved digestion. You may also feel an emotion buried deep within emerge suddenly. Please try not to bury that emotion deeper, you are in a safe place to experience that emotion in order to come to terms with it. Renewing or cleansing energy fields is the ultimate goal of Reiki. Keep in mind, the effects of Reiki can vary from person to person, but it is generally considered a safe and non-invasive form of therapy.

Beginning Foot Soak

This foot soak is perfect to center yourself, especially when under stress or pressure from others or from situations. Sea Salt is one of the easiest and extremely effective ways to clear negativity. It has natural ability to wipe out the negative energy stored in our homes or workplaces. The soak will harmonize your chakras and aura and will also cut you off from the source of any negative energy allowing you to be connected to your own power and sense of self.

Sound Healing

Sound healing with singing bowls is a powerful and ancient practice that can help to reduce stress, anxiety, and promote overall well-being. The soothing sounds and vibrations of the bowls can help to balance the body's energy and promote deep relaxation.

Hand Placements

During Reiki, the practioner's hands will be placed lightly over Chakras. The hands of the practioner may slightly move over the Chakra or laid softly on the Chakra. The placements of hands begin in this order: Crown (top of head), Third Eye (forehead), Throat (near base of neck), Heart (two or hand laid horizontally under clavicle), Solar Plexus (right under the diagpram), Sacral (below navel), Grounding to Earth (knees and feet. The Root (base of spine) is done in prone position (face down).

Hand placements are not set in stone; extra placements can be added or not be in order. The energy the practioner is reading will determine where your aura (energy field) is pulling them.

Smudging

Smudging is a powerful way to cleanse negative energy from your body or space space. By burning herbs like sage or palo santo, we are creating a peaceful and positive environment. It is also a way to send your prayers to the heavens and manifest postitive intentions you have for your Reiki session

Crystals

Chakra crystals are an essential tool in Reiki healing. These crystals are believed to help balance the energy centers in the body, promoting physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. By placing crystals on or near the chakras, Reiki practitioners can help their clients achieve a deeper state of relaxation and healing.

Post Reiki

After a Reiki session, it's important to take some time to rest and relax. Drink plenty of water to help flush out any that may have been released during the session. It's also a good idea to avoid any strenuous activity or stressful situations for the rest of the day to allow your body to fully integrate the healing energy.

Journaling

Journaling after a Reiki session can be a powerful tool for self-reflection and growth. By putting your thoughts and feelings down on paper, you can clarity and insight into your experience. It can also help you track your progress over time and identify patterns or areas that may need further attention. Overall, journaling can enhance the benefits of Reiki by deepening your connection to yourself and your healing journey.

Meditation

Meditation has numerous for both the mind and body. It can help reduce stress, improve focus and concentration, and promote overall well-being. After a Reiki session, meditation can be especially beneficial as it can help to deepen the relaxation and healing effects of the treatment. Taking time to meditate after a Reiki session can help to integrate the energy work and promote a sense of calm and balance.

Earthing

Grounding or earthing is the practice of connecting with the earth's natural energy by walking barefoot on grass, sand, or soil, or by using grounding mats or sheets. This practice has been shown to have numerous health benefits, including reducing inflammation, improving sleep, and reducing stress and anxiety. Grounding can also help to improve circulation, boost immunity, and promote overall well-being.

Energy will be moving after your Reiki session and a way to calm the flow (after an emotional or physical relief from chronic pain) is to neutralize the energy. Grounding can calm the nervous system and allow you to find your breathe again. Make sure to take long, slow breathes. Focus on your surge of energy going into the ground and  getting filtered before moving back into your body.

Affirmations

Affirmations can be a powerful tool to reinforce positive thoughts and beliefs, especially after a reiki session where clarity has been achieved. By repeating affirmations regularly, you can train your mind to focus on the positive and attract more of what you desire into your life. Whether it's for self-love, abundance, or healing, affirmations can help you manifest your intentions and live a more fulfilling life.

Always write "I am ..." this way you are rewriting your narrative. What you tell your brain, it will do. What you say to the universe, it will do.

Salt Showers

Sea salt has been used for centuries for its healing properties. It is believed to have energy cleansing properties that can help to remove negative energy from the body and promote overall well-being. Incorporating sea salt into your daily routine, after Reiki and in general, can be a simple yet effective way to enhance your physical and spiritual health.

Sprinkle on the floor of your shower while deep breathing and/or soak your entire body in a bath.
